What is The Original Squatchee™?
The Original Squatchee™ is a patented adhesive hook designed specifically for displaying baseball caps front-facing without nails or tools.
What types of hats work with it?
The Original Squatchee™ is designed for baseball caps, including fitted, snapback, trucker, dad, flat-brim, and adjustable styles. It may also work with hats that have a similar crown shape and top button.
Why is the hook curved?
The patented curved design follows the natural shape of a baseball cap and supports it at the top button, helping the cap hang front-facing while keeping the hook discreet.
Which color should I choose?
Choose Black for bold contrast or to blend with darker spaces. Choose White for a clean, minimal look on lighter walls. Both use the same patented hook design.
How many hooks do I need?
Most baseball caps use one Squatchee™ hook. Start with the bundle that fits your wall, then add more as your collection grows.
INSTALLATION
Which surfaces work best?
The Original Squatchee™ works best on clean, smooth, properly finished surfaces such as painted drywall, finished wood, metal, glass, tile, and many laminate surfaces. Always clean and prepare the surface before installation for the strongest bond.
How do I install it?
Peel the protective backing from the premium foam tape adhesive, press the hook firmly onto a clean, properly prepared surface, and allow the adhesive to bond according to the included instructions. Once fully bonded, hang your baseball cap and adjust it until the front faces straight.
Can I install The Original Squatchee™ on textured walls?
Light texture may work, but smooth, properly prepared surfaces provide the best bond. Highly textured surfaces may reduce adhesive performance.
Can I install The Original Squatchee™ on brick?
Because brick is porous and uneven, it is not recommended for the best long-term adhesive performance.
Can I install The Original Squatchee™ on wallpaper?
Results vary depending on the type and condition of the wallpaper. Because wallpaper adhesion can vary, we recommend testing an inconspicuous area first.
Can I install The Original Squatchee™ on wood?
Yes. The Original Squatchee™ works well on smooth, finished wood surfaces that are clean and properly prepared.
Can I install The Original Squatchee™ on metal?
Yes. Clean, smooth metal surfaces provide excellent adhesion when properly prepared before installation.
Can I install The Original Squatchee™ on glass?
Yes. Glass is one of the ideal installation surfaces when thoroughly cleaned before applying the hook.
How long should I wait before hanging my hat?
Follow the included installation instructions and allow the premium foam tape adhesive to fully bond before displaying your baseball cap.
REMOVAL & REUSE
Will it damage my wall?
The Original Squatchee™ uses a strong foam tape adhesive designed to hold the hook securely in place. Because surfaces, finishes, and paint conditions vary, results can also vary. Follow the recommended removal instructions, including gently warming the adhesive with a hair dryer and slowly peeling it away from the surface.
Can I remove and reuse the hook?
Yes. The hook itself is reusable, but the adhesive pad is designed for one installation. Follow the recommended removal instructions, then apply a new genuine Squatchee™ replacement adhesive pad before reinstalling the hook.
Can I reuse my Squatchee™ hooks?
Yes. The hook itself is reusable, but the premium foam tape adhesive is designed for one installation. To relocate or reinstall a hook, simply apply a genuine Squatchee™ Replacement Adhesive.
Do you sell Replacement Adhesives?
Yes. Genuine Squatchee™ Replacement Adhesives are sold separately, making it easy to relocate or reinstall your reusable hooks without replacing the hooks themselves.
How long does the adhesive last?
When installed on a properly prepared surface and used according to the instructions, the premium foam tape adhesive is designed to provide a long-lasting hold.

How much space should I leave between hats?
Spacing depends on the look you're trying to achieve and the size of your hats. Leave enough room so each baseball cap hangs naturally without overlapping neighboring hats.
Are the hooks visible behind the hat?
No. The Original Squatchee™ was designed to remain discreetly hidden behind most baseball caps, helping create a clean, floating appearance.
Can I use more than one Squatchee™ for a single hat?
Most baseball caps only require one Squatchee™. However, some customers choose to use additional hooks for creative display layouts or specialty applications.
